Job description

In this role you will be part of the Global Operations team as we grow Wefarm sustainably, laying the foundations for a company of 50 to 150, to 500 and beyond. Together we will build and implement the structures for each stage, learning and improving as we scale. This is a chance to learn first hand how a high growth global business operates, and play a key role in our future success.


In short - we need an Operations Coordinator to help power everything we do! More specifically you will help: 


Keep Wefarm running lean and fast by

  • Identifying key operational pain-points across the business, design solutions to increase efficiency and advice on when is the right time to introduce them, and how

  • Helping streamline and coordinate Wefarm’s hiring process

  • Participating in various financial activities such as negotiating rates, managing expenses, providing estimates, and seeking cost-savings where possible

People navigate the organisation by

  • Project managing the On-Boarding for new starters (in London), suggest improvements and ensure great Employee Experience

  • Putting in place a company-wide knowledge management (lightweight) system

  • training them on existing tools, processes and structures, ensuring successful adoption from any new starter to the Founder

Build capacity by

  • Driving end-to-end projects within the Operations Function, and in cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

  • Identifying the need for new tools, overseeing & improving existing ones (inc. recommending changes)

  • providing technical support, from time-to-time, and making hardware and software purchase recommendations

  • Help us make better and more informed decisions, by conducting research, from time-to-time


To be the right person for this role YOU SHOULD:

  • be comfortable in the context of a fast-moving start-up

  • be able to prioritise in dynamic circumstance

  • be able to build consensus and play the role of a facilitator

  • have a fair understanding of general finance and budgeting

  • be tech savvy, and navigating new tools with ease

  • have had 1-2 years of work experience

  • N.B. You must have the right to work in the UK

Rewards package and remuneration

The total rewards package and remuneration will be based on experience and potential, but is highly competitive and will include share options. We believe in our team being not only the executors of Wefarm’s visions but the makers and owners of it!

As a global business, travel is essential to who we are, and will be a perk of the job. We also host an annual whole company get together (Wecamp), previously held in Kenya and Uganda. In addition, we have a generous pension package, flexible working environment (within reason of course!), and we value spending time together - boarding the weekly lunch train, sharing some drinks on a Friday and frequent social events throughout the year.
