Wefarm has raised investment from some of the world’s leading VCs, including True Ventures in Silicon Valley, and we are looking to add to a world-class team based across London, Nairobi, Kampala and Dar-es-Salaam.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead product development focused on increasing farmer engagement with our information service and marketplace offering. You’ll focus on the key drivers of user engagement and conversion to purchase, and determine priorities across the whole user lifecycle from onboarding and activation to retention.


You’ll be a key part of a cross-functional squad, driving a test and learn approach to product development in order to prioritise initiatives that have the biggest impact on engagement and purchasing behaviour.

Wefarm is growing rapidly and the Senior Product Manager will play a key role in increasing our understanding of user needs and shaping our future product offering.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify our key user segments, their needs, and the biggest drivers of long term farmer engagement with the Wefarm service
  • Understand what drives repeat purchasing behaviour and work with a cross-functional squad to prioritise and implement initiatives that address this
  • Ensure that we have relevant customer touchpoints for each stage of a user’s lifecycle on Wefarm
  • Define the product vision and roadmap for how we evolve the Wefarm service from SMS-based to multi-channel (SMS + online)
  • Manage product development priorities for our data science and engineering teams


Job requirements

  • At least 5 years product management experience
  • Good understanding of user behaviour and the ability to translate that into product functionality that meets the needs of key user segments
  • A data-driven mindset, with demonstrated success in launching product features that improve key metrics
  • Comfortable with agile development practices, with a collaborative approach to working with development teams
  • Enjoy working in a start-up environment and not afraid to jump in and get things done
  • Want to make a difference in the world and work on something that improves people’s lives!

The total rewards package and remuneration will be based on experience and potential, but is highly competitive and will include share options. We believe in our team being not only the executors of Wefarm’s visions but the makers and owners of it!


As a global business, travel is essential to who we are, and will be a perk (and requirement) of the job. We also host an annual whole company get together (Wecamp), previously held in Kenya and Uganda. In addition, we have a flexible working environment (within reason of course!), and we value spending time together - boarding the weekly lunch train, and frequent social events throughout the year.
